Utah-based contemporary abstract painter John Paul Berry investigates themes of duality in his work, characterized by patches of bright color and spontaneous lines that emerge beneath layers of paint, alongside thought-provoking titles.
Like poetry, Berry's abstractions utilize sharp juxtapositions to create space for the viewers' unique interpretations. The push-and-pull nature of the painting makes dialogue between the seen and unseen, the said and unsaid.
