Monthly Screenings at the Chicago Grand Gallery

This summer, our gallery is thrilled to launch Movie Club, a new monthly series dedicated to international, independent, and cult classic films. Each month, our space transforms into an intimate screening room where art lovers and film fans alike gather to experience thoughtfully selected movies that spark conversation and connection. Screenings are followed by open discussions and opportunities to linger, reflect, and connect. Membership is $15/month and supports the continuation of this program. All members are welcome to attend each screening, with snacks and drinks available for purchase with the option of BYOB. Proceeds from concessions are donated to humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.

Our next screening is Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors (1965). In a remote Hutsul village, Ivan falls for Marichka—the daughter of his father's killer. Their tragic love is cut short by a sudden accident. A tale of doomed love, mountain mysticism, and the thin veil between life and spirit.

Join us as we bring cinema into conversation with art—one film at a time.
