Kavi Gupta is a leading contemporary art gallery based in Chicago that hosts more than a dozen museum quality exhibitions each year; its publishing imprint, Kavi Gupta Editions, produces unique, high quality artist books and catalogues. The gallery participates in many of the most influential global art fairs each year, including Frieze New York, Frieze London, the New York Armory Fair, EXPO CHICAGO, and Art Basel Miami Beach.
Kavi Gupta operates from two buildings in the West Loop. The first, on West Washington Blvd., hosts the gallery and publishing imprint Kavi Gupta | Editions. The second building, nearby on N. Elizabeth St., is a two-story, brick, refurbished industrial building capable of hosting two simultaneous, museum-quality exhibitions. The gallery also operates a warehouse and production facility in nearby Pilsen.
Artists represented by the renowned gallery include Firelei Báez, Roger Brown, Inka Essenhigh, Beverly Fishman, Jeffrey Gibson, Wadsworth Jarrell, Manish Nai, Angel Otero, Roxy Paine, Devan Shimoyama, Tony Tasset and Mickalene Thomas, among others. Kavi Gupta is proud to be a three-time recipient of the prestigious International Association of Art Critics (AICA-USA) Award.
