When founder Sally Schwartz embarked upon this journey in 2003, she wanted to create a Chicago version of my favorite antique flea market — London’s Portobello Road — and the Chicago Antique Market was born outside on historic Randolph street and inside Michael Jordan’s basketball gym. Randolph Street Market receives high praise from interior designers for being a reliable, post-COVID resource for antiques, art and decor — and for pioneering America’s largest urban market for ‘second time around’ sustainability.
